The Best 5 FREE Alternative of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator




We know that Adobe is the industry standard for creative professional and if you need the absolute best in terms of features and support, then you need Adobe’s creative suite.

Fret not if you don’t know on how to use Adobe or they are too expensive to afford monthly subscriptions. The good news is, we have a solution for you! We are here to share with you about a few software that are alternates to Adobe.

Previously, we also now that Photoshop is amazing and useful by its editing features, that even non-designer also tends to use it.  Here are the ones that we consider the best:

1. PHOTOPEA


This is a web-based editing that really close to the Photoshop editor. Don’t worry if you might feel ‘blur’ or ‘how should I use this?’ feelings as it provides you tutorial and you can easily learn on how to use any features in it. Most of the features in Photoshop also available in Photopea, for instance, Lasso Tool, filters, Clone Tool. Still, you can save an image as a PSD File and also open the file through Photoshop. Amazing, right?

The most interesting part about Photopea is, it does all its computation offline, so your pictures are never send to the cloud and just happening on your computer. It’s not only makes your work doing smooth but also protects your data.

2. CANVA


 Canva is another web-based editor that provides anything a graphic designer needs. You can create your own design just like a professional designer in just a simple step. Canva also provides various types of stock images, hundreds of fonts, a wide range of filters, icons and shapes. With all these resources provided, you just have to drag and drop the images and place them in the right place, before you can edit them.  Canva is suitable for any person, as it is really lightweight to use.

3. PAINT.NET



Paint.net is a good choice if you’re annoyed with Photoshop’s bloat and only handle fundamental features such as layers, plugins and etc.


Unfortunately, Paint.net is only available for Windows, so it’s bad news for other Operating System users. You can try other sources like Pinta as it is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.

4.  KRITA 


Krita is a professional FREE and open source painting program. It is made by artists that want to see affordable art tools for everyone. If you find the alternative of illustrator, this platform is the right choice for you. Krita is build for those who are passion with sketching, such as concept artist, illustrators, designers and those who wants to sketch from scratch. If you want to edit the existing image, this one is not suitable for you.



5. PIXLR


Pixlr consist of two, which are Pixlr Express (ideal for quick fixes and simple edits) and Pixlr Editor (power users). Both are FREE to use and web-based application, so you don’t need to download it.


It is also available for mobile application on iOS and Android. So it is suitable for those who wants to edit image from mobile device.
