As announced by the Government of Malaysia in the Budget 2014, the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) will take effect on 1 April 2015.
GST is a multi-stage tax charged on domestic consumption of goods and services, chargeable to all taxable supplies of goods and services in Malaysia except those specifically categorised as zero rated or exempted.
MichaelSoft DDS Sdn. Bhd. is also affected by this requirement and is in the midst of preparing for the full implementation of GST which will go live on 1 April 2015. We expect that there will be issues pertaining to GST tax compliance, legal aspects, cash flow, pricing, systems, processes and documentation that will impact the way we operate and our transactions with you, especially with respect to terms of pricing, processes, systems and documentation.
Therefore, we wish to inform you that MichaelSoft DDS Sdn. Bhd. will become a GST registered business entity and will be collecting GST on goods and services supplied by us starting from 1 April 2015 onwards. In this respect, MichaelSoft DDS Sdn. Bhd. reserves the right to enforce any changes to our policy on goods and services supplied to our clients/partners.
